Mesquite City Hall
Creating a civic building that speaks to the Spanish colonial influence of the region was critical to the City. As the city hall holds several departments, a major challenge as well was to create a cohesive statement while giving a presence to each department.
The arrangement of program around a central courtyard provided focus to the facility while also creating an outdoor space that became the heart of the city. The abstraction of the Spanish colonial style into a more modern aesthetic provided a visual bridge to the city’s aesthetic future.
