“Architecture and IT are both problem solving, you just have different systems to do it with.”
With 10 years of architectural experience prior to becoming an information technology professional, Dan credits the I.T. shift largely had to do with problem solving. Architects are problem solvers and use information about “systems” like door systems, roof system, etc. to help solve problems. He has now taken these problem-solving skills and the ability to understand systems functionality to manage and maintain a wide range of computer and networking systems.
