Edgemont Elementary School

Situated on the hillside in the Edgemont community, the school was carefully located to maximize views and daylight to adjacent mountains. The new school was built on site while existing functions remained during construction. Care was taken to ensure the educational activities of the school would not be impacted by the construction process.

MHTN worked carefully with the Provo City School District to adapt a prototype elementary school to meet the needs of the neighborhood and surrounding community. Stakeholder meetings and community review sessions were led by MHTN to inform critical design elements and program spaces. The next-generation building houses learning suites, media center, gymnasium, and administration offices.
