Saratoga Springs Downtown Plan
The Saratoga Springs Downtown Plan is a conceptual master plan creating a framework that explores concepts for a future downtown. The plan includes a flexible local road with a ‘Main Street’ approach that serves as a linear central spine primarily for pedestrians and community activities such as vendors, parades, and festivals. At the center of the ‘Main Street’ is a dedicated open space for gatherings, events, sports, markets, and performances. Framing the open space are retail stores and restaurants at the ground level, with potential residential or hospitality development above. The vision is a destination that draws residents to energetic, creative, iconic spaces and experiences while enhancing their overall sense of community and place.

Serving as both a destination and link for residents and visitors to live, work, and play within close proximity promotes livability, active transportation, and easy access to housing, jobs, recreation, and entertainment. The park-once approach at the edges of downtown and walking or biking to the core and other locations reduces carbon emissions from motorized transportation.
